1.Can LiFePO4 batteries be left on the charger?
Unlike lead-acid batteries, lithium iron phosphate batteries are not damaged even when they are partially charged, so you don't have to worry about charging them right after use. They also have no memory effect, so you don't have to fully drain them before recharging
2.Do lithium iron phosphate batteries need to be balanced?
The relatively linear discharge curve of LiFePO4 cells makes matching and balancing of all cells increasingly important—the greater the difference between cell voltages, the lower the available capacity.
3.Can I use LiFePO4 without a BMS?
BMS, Battery Management System, is an essential component of lithium iron phosphate batteries. LiFePO4 or all lithium battery cells are sensitive to overvoltage, undervoltage and overcurrent.
4.What happens if you overcharge LiFePO4?
What happens if you overcharge liFePO4? Doing so can cause permanent damage to the battery pack. Most batteries have a built-in protection circuit to avoid this. Once the battery voltage reaches its capacity, it cuts off the supply of charging current.
